In the heat of the Shanghai summer

Back from a quick business trip in Taipei, we are back to sweating like crazy in this sweltering summer heat in Shanghai....

Taipei was nice as the weather was not as hot as in Shanghai with lots of clear blue skies! The one activity I ended most apart from being with family was the huge Page One bookstore that opened inside the tallest building - Taipei 101. Lots of books and just wished Simon was there as I'm sure he would have enjoyed it tremendously.

Surprised my parents, they did not know I was coming. Day before I return to Shanghai, my mom celebrated her 70th birthday. We had dinner at this very nice restaurant. Food was great! However, would you believe that my mom spent most of her time sending SMS (or texting) someone in the Philippines..??!!? Joining us were Mrs. Huang and family who's daughter kept everyone entertained the rest of the evening.

Anyway, keeping us - me and Simon - amused of late are our new virtual pets - the Tamagotchi COnnexion! I never had the priviledge to have the first edition and wish I had. This second generation is definitely COOL!!! Unfiortunately both our tamagotchis are male so they cannot mate. Now I am hooked on finding one female one! Simon has the black while I have the light blue one.
